A researcher cum science communicator, Kanaka is a person with love for scientific creation, abstraction and dissemination. Her experience of more than 8 years in the field of biological research, scientific writing and training is an ode to her ability to generate academic and industrial research grants. An efficient project execution capability has enabled her to work within academia in full-time and freelance capacities ever since her post-graduation days.
Kanaka has two publications for the two major research projects that she handled - one in the area of soil microbiology and the other in reproductive thiol chemistry. Apart from being a researcher, she is also a creative writer, nature lover, photographer, painter, a food enthusiast and a movie buff at heart! Kanaka considers her efforts at knowledge upgradation through seminars, conferences and public lectures and her ability to work on diverse research projects with passion as her professional strength. Her scientific expertise is backed up with a problem solving and planning ability that caters to a result-oriented approach. She works by the belief: "You lose all the shots you don't take.
